Who we are
This privacy policy explains how Crostic Answers (crosticanswers.com and its language subdomains) handles personal data. Contact: [email protected].
Data we collect
You can use the site without an account. We process only: (1) technical data sent by your browser such as IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which our server records in short-lived logs for security and troubleshooting; (2) the name, email address and message you send through the contact form; (3) analytics data if you consent to analytics cookies.
Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC, to measure visits and improve the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect pseudonymous usage data (for example pages viewed, approximate location, device and referrer). IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.
Cookies and local storage
Without consent we set no tracking cookies. We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again. Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) are set only after consent.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to [email protected] by email so we can reply. We keep them only as long as needed to handle your request and do not use them for marketing.
Legal basis and retention
We process technical data based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website, contact messages to answer your request, and analytics data based on your consent. Server logs are deleted after a short period; analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is a general audience puzzle help site and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
